Officers of the Department
Fire Chief Brian McDaniel- Chief McDaniel has served the Traphill Fire Department for over twenty years starting as a junior member and working his way up through the ranks. Chief McDaniel is a NC Certified Firefighter, Technical Rescuer with Vehicle, Agriculture, and Rope Rescue, Driver Operator, and Chief 101. Chief McDaniel reports directly to the board and is the overall administrator to the department.
Deputy Chief Dennis McDaniel- Deputy Chief McDaniel has served the department for almost twenty years. Joining as a firefighter and obtaining his medical certification Deputy Chief McDaniel played a crucial role in our first response program for over fifteen years. Holding Emergency Medical Responder and obtaining EMT Basic in 2015. Deputy Chief McDaniel also hold NC Firefighter certification as well as Chief 101. Deputy Chief McDaniel oversees general operations and of the department working as a liaison to other officers to assist with all duties.
Operations Chief Ethan Baker- Operations Chief Baker has served the department for over fifteen years starting as a junior member and working his way through the ranks. Operations Chief Baker is a NC Certified Firefighter, Technical Rescuer with Vehicle, Ropes, Water, Confined Space, and Agriculture, Fire Officer I&II, Fire Instructor I&II, Fire Life Safety Educator I&II, Fire Investigations Technician, and other State and Federal Certifications. Operations Chief Baker oversees grants, equipment purchasing, personnel needs, and the day to day operations of the department.
